You control Andre using the left JOYSTICK, running left and right with JOYSTICK LEFT and JOYSTICK RIGHT. The FIRE button is used to jump, while JOYSTICK DOWN is used to kneel or duck. You climb up and down, such as on ladders, using JOYSTICK UP and JOYSTICK DOWN.
Note that the controller will operate with minor variations in certain sideshow games.
Inventory

Your inventory panel is scrolled up from the bottom of the screen by pressing FIRE while holding JOYSTICK DOWN. The Inventory panel is dismissed with JOYSTICK UP or by selecting an item. (Alternatively you can call up / dismiss the Inventory panel with GAME SELECT.)
The number of each item in inventory is indicated by a bar / dot graph beneath each icon. Move the JOYSTICK left or right to select an item; the selected inventory item is shown by an underline cursor below it’s icon. Pressing FIRE while displaying the inventory activates the selected item. One unit of the active item is removed from inventory and displayed in the top-left corner of the screen. (Click again on the inventory item to return that unit to inventory.)
If there is an active item displayed after resuming the game with the inventory closed, pressing the FIRE button invokes that item, performing its function and using up that one element. Once you are done using an item, it can be discarded with various combinations of JOYSTICK and FIRE button.
Tip: Game elements are sometimes used in combination. For example, you might use one element to get into a place. When you do, make sure you have what you need to get back out.
Game progress / completion is measured by finding every element and completing every task. Game score is loosely tracked using “Stars”. Select the Star in the inventory to see how many you have collected. Press FIRE on the Star to see a full recap of your game’s status. You can exit the game from the status screen; and upon game exit a QR code is displayed. Scan the QR code with the Audacity Games App to submit your score to our worldwide leader boards.
The maximum score possible in each sideshow is 5 Stars. You may have to play each sideshow many times to earn the perfect score.

There is no more “take a picture of the screen to submit your high score.” In a first for the Atari 2600, a QR code is displayed on the game screen to transmit your scores to our custom mobile app.
Game owners can register their copy of the game on our server (also using a QR code) and access our worldwide high score boards.
